SABELT CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
Sabelt, manufacturer of seatbelts and car seats whose name stands for Safety Belt, comes from an intuition of the young brothers Piero and Giorgio Marsiaj, in Turin on September 20, 1972.
Today Sabelt supplies 7 out of 10 Formula 1 teams and the main Motorsport teams (for example Ferrari, Porsche, Alpine, Cupra), and thanks to the high attention in the diversification of customers, it has established itself as a supplier of the most prestigious car manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Maserati, Abarth and Cupra.
A long-term vision, courage and the ability to innovate are cornerstones in Sabelt's history. They have marked past choices and continue to guide the Company in future decisions. The recent gamble made by Sabelt to develop an in-house production line of safety belts, not only for the automotive sector but also for the space and aviation sector, are proof of this.
Today Sabelt is a company with a strong focus on product innovation, cost control, product quality and customer service.
In the last 5 years it has increased the workforce by over 200 people, a trend that does not intend to slow down as the goal for the next 3 years is to hire additional 150 professionals.
Despite the market uncertainties of recent years, Sabelt will also recover 100% of its pre-covid revenue in 2022 and is working to exceed the threshold of 100 million euros in annual revenue in the next two years.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Sabelt organized a “family day” with employees and their families at the historic Moncalieri plant, near Turin.
Giorgio Marsiaj, President and CEO of Sabelt, President of the Industrial Union of Turin and President of the Council for Turin artistic and cultural heritage enhancement, declared: "Growth is the primary objective. Because growth creates work and in Sabelt we want to pursue a path of constant development and long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers. Today Sabelt is a solid company, 100% owned by my family, but with a strong management. My two sons Gregorio and Massimiliano, Sabelt Vice Presidents, flank a solid and competent management team to ensure the maintenance of a long-term strategy. We believe in the territory, in the culture of know-how and doing well".
