Sabelt and Alpine are two brands which successfully grew in the automotive world with the common tradition to bring innovation to the track.
After the realization of the seats for the street version of the Alpine A110, the car that gave rebirth to the legendary French brand linked to Renault, Sabelt goes on with this partnership supplying also the seats for the race version of the car, the A110 Cup, designed to take part to the Alpine Elf Europa Cup, a new series that has in the new A110 its main character.
The relationship between the two brands has been strongly reinforced collaborating in the development of a new racing seat called GT-PAD.
The seat has been expressly designed by Sabelt following the necessities of the French car brand and the result is a modular seat with a VTR shell covered in high resistance velvet and with integrated embracing headrest.
Race versions of the GT-PADs on the track during the Alpine Elf Europa Cup, have customizable cushions with Alpine logo on headrest and legs support.
Sabelt is also provider of the technical kit that includes seatbelts and fire-resistant clothing made of suit, gloves and shoes, all tailored for Alpine.
Since 2013 Alpine has competed in endurance racing including the LMP2 class. Thanks to its gained experience it has joined the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship in the top-flight hypercar category with the Alpine A480.
This prototype is built on an Oreca chassis and powered by 4.5-litre V8 supplied by Gibson Tecnology. It is fitted with Michelin tyres, in accordance with the regulations of the Hypercar class.
The A480 is driven by three experienced endurance drivers: Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão, and Matthieu Vaxiviere It is equipped withSabelt seatbelts and both for drivers and team wear Sabelt racewear..
The extensive partnership between Sabelt and Alpine has brought to the creation of an entire line up of racewear products (underwear, racesuits, gloves and shoes ) specifically developed co-branded with Alpine, which are available through Sabelt official distributors around the world.
The partnership between Sabelt and Alpine has brought to design and develop two seats different in terms of structure and style for the road legal models A110 and A110s.
The first one is a 6 ways adjustable seat (back and forth, seat height, backrest angle) which provides to the driver elevate comfort in the daily use thanks to the various settings.
The second one is a seat inspired by the racing experience from both brands. It has a monocoque structure made by fiberglass and polyester resin that weights 13.1 kilos. It combines the right comfort on normal use and elevate side containment on more sporty driving. Alpine is also racing in Formula 1 and, as a tribute to its drivers Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Ocon, has realized two personalized A110s. For this project Sabelt developed two seats characterized by the respective drivers logos embroidered on the backrest.
