The bond with the world of racing has always been a characterizing element of Alfa Romeo and Sabelt.
The partnership between the two brands has the mission to reach better and better performances and product innovation
Since 2013 Sabelt has provided the seats for the sporty 4C, whose weight of 895 kilos is one of the key factors of its success. To achieve this result Alfa Romeo engineers have developed the car around a moncoque carbon fiber chassis weighing only 65 kilos.
Recently, Sabelt is back in a car from Alfa Romeo to equip the track focused version of the Giulia, the Gran Turismo Alleggerita Modificata, with the aim to achieve a higher power to weight ratio.
The Giulia GTAm is the result of the Alfa Romeo creative process whose shape and function are combined together to get a functional design for track use.
Following the philosophy and guidelines used to develop the original Giulia GTA in 1965 and thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and composite materials, the GTAm weight has been reduced by100 kilos compared with the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the power has been increased from 510 to 540 hp, The exterior has been modified to improve aerodynamics and downforce thanks to the know-how from Sauber Engineering.
The lightweight seats developed by Sabelt for the GTAm are made with a full carbon monocoque structure with matt finish.
The trim cover is completely customized for Alfa Romeo made by Venere leather and Alcantara. Leather is found on the sides and on the headrest where the “GTAm” is embroidered with a contrasting red stitching. Leather has been also combined with Alcantara as a backrest covering.
The seats have also 5 holes to allow the installation of a 6 point racing seatbelts also developed specifically by Sabelt featuring lightweight hardware and custom embrodery.
