Dealing with safety, performance, refinement, technology and innovation, Sabelt could not be missing at the Milan Design Week, where design was the central theme, as it is at the core of  what Sabelt creates every day.

The Milan Design Week is not just a simple trade fair. It was born in the early 80s as an initiative of enterprises operating in the furniture and industrial design sector, becoming a moment where major companies and individual promoters disclosed their best pieces regarding new and revolutionary Design trends. The numerous appointments that compose the events are mainly located in the showrooms of the participating organizations, scattered throughout the city of Milan.

One of these events is the #CarDesignAward, the Academy Award organised each year by the Auto & Design magazine to prize the best automotive design. This year, the award ceremony was held on 18th April, in the prestigious ADI Design Museum with a talk about 'High-performance design' between leading representatives of three renowned companies in the automotive industry: Ferrari, Sabelt and Brembo. Gregorio Marsiaj, Sabelt Vice President, held therefore a conference alongside Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari's Chief Designer Officer, Alberto Ferrari, brand manager Brembo S.p.A. and Silvia Baruffaldi, Editor Auto&Design.

Marsiaj shared the path our company is pursuing on the manufacturing and production of seats for the world's leading sports cars. The speech focused on the acknowledgement of the extremely meticolous work that Sabelt does to merge the utmost level of design maintaining the highest safety standards. Spreading awareness that all Sabelt products are developed in collaboration with its exclusive clients -the car manufacturers- and with design centers to ensure tailor made solutions is important to understand what occurs behind a Sabelt seat.

Car manufacturers request Sabelt to create a seat with a particular visual appearance. It is then left to Sabelt to translate the idea into a product that is both functional, safe and compliant for driving. It is a task that aligns the design with the constraints imposed by regulations, standards and mandatory homologations, to deliver a reliable product ready for the road. A challenge overtaken by the scrupulous work of Sabelt technicians who study the details of each seat and test safety requirements in the internal dynamic laboratory. The outcome is that Sabelt products are not mere aesthetics and refinement, but guarantee the highest level of safety in all conditions, even extreme ones.

Elegance, functionality, technology, style, performance and safety symbolize and shape today's world of design and innovation and are the heart of Sabelt’s work as well.
