20TH SHANGAI INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY EXHIBITION: SABELT EXPLORING TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY INTERNATIONAL MARKET
The 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition kicked off this week. Car manufacturers presented their more than ever electrified, connected and intelligent vehicles under the banner of the green and low-carbon trend following the Chinese automotive industry. This latter is pushing the technological advancement of new energy vehicles (NEVs) designed to save energy, reduce emissions and help the country achieve its carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Auto and component companies also put in their showcases new products and technologies related to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, which are known for high efficiency, zero emissions and long driving range. In other words: renewable energy and green were the two pillars of the event.
This year's Shanghai Auto Show hit hundreds of thousands of people who have attended since its opening on 18th April; exceeding one million people by the event conclusion on 27 April. About 1,000 enterprises from 20 countries and regions were participating, and around 1,500 vehicles were on display.
The Exhibition acted as technology training for automotive companies rotating around everything dealing with autos, and it was a great opportunity for car manufacturers to receive direct feedback from end-consumers, which is what companies really need. This Auto Show was the first international A-class car show held in China since COVID-19, where carmakers from all around the world could present their products, technological innovations and services in a country that is a gold mine for the automotive industry (especially since the spending power of Chinese consumers has increased and Chinese brands have introduced luxury sports car models).
Our Vice President and Head of Business Development Massimiliano Marsiaj and our General Manager Giulio Graziano took the opportunity to gain insights into the future of the automotive industry and to strengthen the company's values by investigaAting new challenges and exploring new technologies in pursuit of Sabelt goals. After all, Sabelt’s never ending thirst for innovation and internalising new techniques has always been a cornerstones of the company.
