THE IMPORT OF THE SOUTH KOREA MODEL
A coordinated use of information technology and results from tests and swabs to ensure a safe restart: it is the "Korea method" adapted to the Turin industrial context. A thousand workers from local companies will participate in the experimentation: among them Sabelt, Sea Marconi, Fresia Alluminio, Quercetti and Samsic. A project inspired by the experience in South Korea that has developed a methodology aimed at the coordinated use of information technology and tests (swabs and validated tests to be repeated weekly) integrating them with analysis and clinical diagnostic tools, action protocols and regulatory proposals.
Through the application of the "Korea model", the experimentation wants to associate the test result and the person tested to promptly identify people who have been potentially infected, isolate them, rub the swab and block the chain of infection. The idea of the city, if the results of the experimentation were satisfactory, is to involve workers from the main investee companies of the city at a later date.
"This system has worked elsewhere, should it also prove effective on our territory, we hope it will be a replicable model on a national scale.” said Massimiliano Marsiaj, Sabelt Deputy Chairman.
