SABELT ON THE PODIUM AT THE 24H OF LE MANS

Sabelt writes motorsport history at the 100th edition of the most iconic race ever

Sabelt could not be prouder to celebrate the long-awaited centenary of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans contributing to the Ferrari's triumph with the Hypercar 499P driven by Antonio Giovinazzi, James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi.  

Sabelt provided Ferrari - AF Corse team the seatbelts and the racing equipment which helped the drivers to endure in such a protracted competition by reaching the podium.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a legendary endurance race part of the FIA World Endurance Championship held annually at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France, organized by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest.

Sabelt, providing seatbelts, seats and racing suits to some of the most important teams, could not but be present at this staple event in motorsport. This year in particular, Le Mans was not only the greatest endurance event in the world, but the race of the century. Le Mans has indeed been running since 1923, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious motorsport events in the world.

The special feature of this race is that it takes place over 24 hours, requiring drivers and their teams to balance high performance and speed with strategy and endurance. The circuit consists of a mix of permanent tracks and public roads, which poses unique challenges, including variable trail conditions and non-stop acceleration segments. Teams compete in different categories, including prototypes (Hypercars and LMP2) and grand touring cars (GTE Pro and GTE Am), each with their own regulations, skills and performance levels but all together in the same truck and at the same time.

The event attracts the most acknowledged teams and drivers from all around the world, and winning this race is considered the greatest achievement in the world of motorsport. Sabelt, in addition to enjoy the wonderful race, actively participated by interacting with various teams. Among the teams we work with, enabling them to race safely, we find: Ferrari AF Corse – Richard Mille, Kessel Racing, Alpine, Toyota, Glickenhaus, JMW and Porsche.

In 2023 Ferrari made a triumphant return to the race after a 50-year absence and wrote an amazing page of motorsport’s history: the #51 Ferrari AF Corse 499P completed 342 laps in 24 hours and won by 81.793 seconds. Legendary, memorable, fierce, powerful and unique are the right adjectives describing the iconic weekend Sabelt experienced.
